OVERVIEW
Most Las Vegas nightclubs require "fashionable attire." For most clubs, this means anything except sports jerseys, tank tops on men, or athletic wear of any kind. Extremely baggy clothes will also often get you barred at the door.

Night clubs in casinos rarely give a price break to locals, and cover charges generally run from $10 to $25. Guests staying at the casino hotel, however, are often allowed in for free. You must flash your room key to gain free entrance. Savvy locals collect room keys for the casinos that have clubs they like. (Locals don’t pay for much in this town.) If you go to a casino club with a scavenged room key, leave your coat in the car. You’re supposed to be a hotel guest, remember?

Still, most casino night clubs cater primarily to tourists. The locals tend to prefer off-casino clubs that the tourists don’t know about, as these clubs tend to be less expensive and better venues for meeting friends and lovers. On the other hand, some locals prefer the casino night clubs because they are good pick-up clubs for one-night stands. You can meet a girl who’s leaving town in a day or two, often has her own room right there in the hotel, and came to Vegas to party. (“What happens in Vegas... etc.”)

Although many Las Vegas casinos have started trying to compete with Vegas strip clubs by offering little strip tease shows of their own, the strip tease in the casino night clubs is strictly tease. You will not see any topless or bottomless dancers in any casino nightclub here.

I’m not rating these clubs on pick-up potential. I’m only looking at the clubs where there are shows with dancers and/or strippers, and my perspective is purely that of the ecdysiast aficionado.
